"Madame Danh" is a term of respect and affection used to refer to Tyson's grandmother, "Madame" is a French honorific used to address a woman with respect, "Danh" is the family name of Tyson's grandmother, she was also raised in the French Catholic Church from childhood until she met her husband and immigrated to Canada in 1986.
Tyson owner and chef. Growing up in Vietnam, Tyson learned to cook from his Mom. After moving to Canada in 2012, his passion for cooking was rekindled and inspired by his grandmother, Mrs Danh. Tyson decided to formalize his culinary training by studying culinary arts at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) in Edmonton. Graduating from NAIT, Tyson pursued his culinary dreams, beginning his training in some of BC's most renowned kitchens: Cactus Club, West, Miku, Como Taperia, Nemesis coffee, Opal by element. This training in Vancouver helped him adapt to the local culinary scene and develop his unique style.
By sharing his grandmother's recipes with his own cooking techniques, Madame Danh would be proud to see her recipe bring joy to so many people.
